Roel De Meester
Open source evangelist, strategist
Roel is co-founder of Krimson. Wether you want to get a strong proposal for your project or get in touch with the Belgian Drupal Community or get some stragetic consulting, Roel is your first contact within Krimson.
Roel has roughly 10 years experience as an all-round software developer/architect with a strong knowledge of enterprise design patterns. With his background in .Net, Java and PHP, gathered from various projects in medical, financial and marketing industry, he is challenged by complex web projects.
In Drupal he discovered a very flexible and modular Framework with a great future and he accepted Dries Buytaert’s request to expand the Belgian Drupal User Community. He maintains Drupal.be and Drupal.nl and has organised several code sprints and Drupal meetings in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Roel is known for his good communication skills, no-nonsense style (make it work - and keep it running) and to come up with solutions for problems the client has never thought of.
Roel also has a Master’s degree in both Physics and IT.
